A perfect German restaurant. Superb local food and very welcoming service from the staff. I've eaten here a few times and it is always a relaxing treat. The food is very traditional, don't expect to have a cheeseburger or a pizza here, more like beef cheek, spätzl, dumplings and local fish. In the summer, sit outside and enjoy the view of the church.

my first visit to the Hotel Oberkirch was in 1969 as a young child with my family. I've been going ever since. immediately across the square from the Münster, the Oberkirch is perfectly situated for those wanting to explore Freiburg. modern well appointed rooms, an excellent restaurant,!

The restaurant staff was very helpful. Their only gluten free vegetarian option was the goats cheese salad, which was quite tasty. The location is perfect.
